The World.
The world we live in today is the world we all share with each other. There is nowhere to go but here. It is our common past, present, and future. What affects just a one of us, will ultimately affect us all. People may wish to divide themselves, but the world forces us to ultimately connect with each other. Because we inherited the world from our ancestors, we may not be responsible for the state of the world as it is; but because we will leave it to our children, we are responsible for the way we pass the world on to future generations. So I feel my own happiness is connected in many ways with the happiness of the world.
